Accessing Our Facilities
Cotswold Model Car Club is situated on Cotswold Airfield, a private, live 24/7 active airfield. As of 2023 the club have revised guidelines which we require all members and racers to follow when using the club facilities.
Airfield Entry & Exit Protocol
- Non-members attending weekend club meetings or practice days cannot be provided with the airfield gate access code under any circumstances for out-of-hours access.
- Gate opening times: Saturday 08:00 – 17:00, Sunday 08:00 – 16:00.
- Only if you know the car directly behind you is a racer may you continue. Otherwise, stop and ensure the gate closes behind you.
- If you are the car behind, stop to enter the monthly membership or guest code. Wait if you’re last in line or unsure of the car behind.
- CCTV is fully operational. Anyone who knows the code understands the system.
- Do not engage in conflict. Refer others to the airfield security team (phone number is on the gates).
- On exit, ensure the gate closes behind you before continuing. Same rules apply as entry.
- If unauthorized access leads to injury or theft, the airfield is liable — this may impact the club’s future.
- Do not roam the site. Stick to highlighted areas only. You will be escorted off the airfield if found outside these zones.
Parking Rules
- NO PARKING on any tarmac area.
- All parking must be on the grass around the track.
- No parking on other grass or outside the designated track area.
