CMCC race almost every Sunday (check the race calendar for the next meeting), and each meeting can contribute to points for one of the championships that are currently running. Each championship usually runs for 10-12 meetings, although a few of everyone's worst rounds are dropped - so there is no pressure for everyone to race every week!

We encourage everyone to race, and our club has a diverse age (and skill!) range. Drivers can get competitive but we try to make sure everyone is treated fairly and gets a good race. Depending on entries, there are often two or three groups of each class which allows everyone to race with others their ability in the finals.

The general format for a race day:

09:30 - signing in - check frequencies, pay race fees

09:55 - drivers meeting

10:00 - racing begins, electric classes followed by nitro

Each class has 3 qualifiers, the best of which is used to determine your grid position for the finals

around 13:30 - Finals start

Depending on the number of entries, there will be either 2 or 3 finals for each class (1 for silvercan)

around 15:30 - racing finishes

If you are racing then you must marshall the race after yours (not applicable for silver can). The 2/3 minute gap goes quickly and so most people leave their cars on the pit wall after the their race and go straight out to marshall, picking them up again on the way out.

To try and prevent interference we use a 'peg' system for frequencies. Each racer should have a clothes peg with their name on it, this should be swapped for a peg with the frequency number on it before a race, and then swapped back after the race. Transmitters without pegs should never be turned on.

If you wish to bring a generator for battery charging etc, you must park on the far side of the track behind race control and next to the woods. This reduces the noise level and allows everyone to hear the announcements.
